HighTide Intelligence is a flood risk data and technology company founded by geophysicists and environmental engineers from Stanford University. The company built its own economic modeling framework, SURF, peer-reviewed and published in the journal Earth’s Future, to translate sea level rise and storm surge exposure into dollar terms that city planners and government agencies can act on.
Its main product, Arkly, gives homeowners a simple way to check their flood risk, get an insurance quote in minutes, and estimate the cost of raising their home above future flood levels. A professional version, Arkly Pro, is used by planners and floodplain managers to run community-wide vulnerability assessments. HighTide is a Certified B Corp and currently works with regional planning councils and city governments across Florida and Puerto Rico.
